Abir Ballan has earned a Bachelor Degree in Psychology (1997) and a Masters in Public Health (1999) from the American University of Beirut. She also holds a Dyslexia Certificate from the Dyslexia Training Institute (2016) and a Graduate Certificate in Mind, Brain, and Teaching from Johns Hopkins University School of Education (2017).
