Ahmed Al Ali, a Saudi poet, works in translation and editing. He was born in Dhahran in 1986. He completed his Bachelor studies at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia, then pursued his higher education in Publishing in New York City. He was trained during 2014-2015 at Penguin Random House’s The Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group, the biggest and most prestigious publishing house in the world.He is the author of four books, including «Lavender, Hotel California» and «As Bob Marley Sings» which was a best- seller in Riyadh International Book Fair 2014. He translated into Arabic many international titles, including Paul Auster's «The Invention of Solitude», Elif Shafak's «Black Milk», Graham Swift's «Mothering Sunday» and Ian McEwan's «The Comfort of Strangers».
