Fatima Sharafeddine

Fatima Sharafeddine is a writer, translator and editor of children and young adults’ literature, residing between Beirut and Brussels. She has won a number of awards and honors, the last of which is the Bologna Ragazzi New Horizons Award 2016 for the book “ongue Twisters” by Dar Kalimat. She was nominated for the prestigious Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award three times, in 2010, 2011, and 2016. Fatima has written and published over 120 books, many of which have been translated to different languages, including English, Dutch, German, Danish, French, Spanish, Irish, Turkish, Swedish, Chinese, Korean, Russian and Hindi. Fatima participates in a number of international book fairs, and offers workshops in creative writing, as well as assists writers in their projects.
