Mahmoud Fahmi Aboud was born in Babylon, Iraq in 1962.He holds a Master of Fine Arts since 1997 from KharkovAcademy of Arts in Ukraine. He works as a graphic designerand a children storybooks illustrator and has approximatelyfifty books for children published. He worked in Norwaybetween 1999 and 2002 as a drawing instructor in theCollege of Arts and and later as an illustrator and designerat children’s centers in Sharjah. From 2002 to 2011 he gavedrawing courses in Sharjah. Mahmoud now works as an artistand has had many personal exhibitions. He joined numerousjoint exhibitions in the UAE and abroad and won the first prizein the Emirates Exhibition Association of Fine Arts in 2013. Hewas honored by the Cultural Department of the Governmentof Sharjah. He is a member of the Emirates Fine Art Societyand a member of the Russian Fine Art Society. He currentlylives between the United Arab Emirates and Canada.
