Rym Ghazal

Rym Tina Ghazal, is of a mixed cultural and religious background with a Polish/German mother, and a Lebanese/Syrian father. She was born in communist Poland, grew up in Islamic Saudi Arabia, and then studied in Canada. Her unusual background makes her embrace differences, and she cannot be boxed into any category.Having worked as a psychologist, a researcher, a teacher, a photographer, an artist, a writer and having dabbled in theater, radio and car racing, Rym now combines all of these passions in her current career as a columnist and senior reporter at the Abu Dhabi based newspaper, The National. Her best friends are her cats, Tiny and Tuna. Ghazal’s Maskoon (Haunted), a young adult horror novel, is her first book.
