Dr. Hiam Abdul Hamid is a UAE media personality known for her achievements. Abdul Hamid was editor of Emarat Al Youm newspaper and spent many years with the editorial staff of Al Bayan, as well as headed a number of sections and media development groups. Abdul Hamid translated the Tiger Poet from an anthology of a Japanese short stories collection in 1995. The Cultural Foundation in Abu Dhabi published it and one of its short stories was included in the Arabic language curriculum for the 11th grade in 2017.
