Gabriela Burin

Gabriela Burin was born in 1983, in Buenos Aires, where she currently lives.She studied Art at the local IUNA (National University Institute of Arts) and also she studied illustration with prestigious illustrators.Her works have been exhibited at the Bratislava Biennial and other collective art exhibitions in Argentina. She has illustrated books for publishing companies in Argentina, Spain, China, USA and United Arab Emirates. As a writer, she has published four books, one of which she illustrated herself.The book “El incendio” (“The Fire”) written by María Teresa Andruetto, was distinguished with an honorable mention in the category “Picture Book” by a board of specialists appointed by ALIJA (Argentinian Association on Literature for Young People).The book “Cuando sea grande” (“When I grow up”), was awarded the first prize for Illustration by a board of specialists appointed by ALIJA (Argentinian Association on Literature for Young People).At present she teaches illustration classes in his own studio, called
