Haima Al Mufti

Al Mufti is an author, screenplay writer and art director from Syria. She started writing adult fiction novels and received various awards from the Arab region, she then pursued writing for children and the young adults. Al Mufti also took part in writing content for several cartoons such as: 5 Friend’s Street, The Musk Holder, Pearl and Coral, Crown of Light and several others which were shown on various Arabic channels. Al Mufti won the Sharjah Award of Arabic Creativity for the category of children stories in 2009 for her series Mariam’s Memoirs, the State Prize for Children's Literature in the field of theater in 2012 for the play Small Things, and the Sons of Hazzaa bin Zayed Award for children Arab culture in the genre of biographical stories award for the book Omair bin Saad – A Brave Boy in Justice.
