Jana Elhassan

Jana Elhassan: is a novelist and translator from Lebanon. She published novels such as, Raghabat Muharrama (Forbidden Desires), which won the Simon Hayek award in 2009 and Ana, Hiya w al Okhrayat (Me, She and the Others), which was shortlisted for the Booker prize, an international prize for Arab novels, in 2013. Jana also published literary texts and short stories along with research and articles in various journals and newspapers such as Annahar Newspaper and Al-Bahrain Al-Thaqafia magazine.
