Magdy Khater is an Egyptian writer and translator. He was born in Alexandria in 1976. He traveled to the UK on a training mission at the University of Edinburgh in 2004. He translated for Truman Capote, Norman Miller, Jor Vidal, Ernest Gaines, and others. His translations were published at the National Center for Translation in Cairo, the Egyptian General Book Authority, and Dār Azminah in Jordan along with several Egyptian and Arab newspapers and magazines.
