Maya Majdalani

Born in Lebanon, Maya grew up in France in a family of artists.Maya studied Illustration and Advertising at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts, ALBA, where she won the UNESCO International Comic Strip Prize in 2004. During the same year, she wrote and illustrated a comic strip, “L’autre et Lui”, that was published at La Cédéthèque. Later,
she worked as an art director for Ogilvy Lebanon where she won the Pikasso d’Or for the best Unipole campaign in 2008. Today, Maya works on a freelance basis on advertisements, illustrations and graphic design for her clients. She also teaches illustration at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts and at the University of Balamand where she has held various illustration workshops.
