He is a writer and journalist who was born in 1969 in Al-Naqa, Mauritania. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language and Literature from L'Ecole Normale Supérieure de Nouakchott (ENS). He works as a newspaper editor for the Emirati Al Khaleej newspaper and is the Chairman of the Cultural Committee of the Arab Cultural Club in Sharjah. He was a member in several judging committees in the fields of theater and short stories, and he supervises story writing workshops. He has four published novels: Ashyaa Men Alam Qadem 2007 (Old stuffs), Zakerat Al Raml 2008 (Sands' Memory), Duroob Abd El Baraka 2010 (Abd El Baraka pathways), and Dahan 2016. He also has novels that are ready for publishing. His novel, "Dahan," was awarded the "Best Mauritanian Novel" of 2016 presented by the popular Mauritanian "chilouhefchi" newspaper. In addition, several critical articles have praised this novel.
