Pitu Alvarez

Pitu Álvarez was born in Barcelona in 1974 where he now lives and works as a professional illustrator. He is specialized in children and young adult books in national and international publishing houses. He worked with several mediums and was selected to decorate the area of Pediatrics at several hospitals and health centers. He also worked in the Fantosfreak film festival for short films, and collaborated in different exhibitions. He graduated from the Escola Massana in Barcelona and studied at the Escola de la Dona Barcelona, and La Fabbrica Delle Favole, Italy. Pitu illustrates with color pencil and gouache and combines it with digital tools to give a final result of a bright, attractive and characteristic work.
