When the kind fox dies, the animals gather and start to share memories of him. A small plant springs where he lay, and with each memory, the plant grows taller, and with time and more memories told, it becomes the tallest and most beautiful tree in the forest. The animals love the memory tree that keeps the fox alive in their hearts. The story teaches children that acts of kindness are never forgotten. The innovative or unusual portrayal of the fox as kind and trustworthy, piques children’s curiosity and encourages them to question preconceived notions.
