Will You Enter the Ice Cream Cart?

By: Nermeen Magdi Badr
Illustrator: Amani Yousef

This story is inspired by a real-life social experiment. During the experiment, a stranger approached children playing in a public park and offered them free ice cream if they would go with him alone to his mobile van. The outcome was shocking.
This story was written to serve as a bridge between you and your child, and as the beginning of a calm, safe conversation that helps your child learn to protect themselves with confidence and awareness. Safety is a skill, and every skill is built through learning and practice.
